Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

Generative AI tools were used during development to create some of the pre-made content that ships with the game. This includes concept and key art (for example the main menu background and store artwork), a large part of the 3D props, furniture, building pieces and item models, the inventory item icons, and some textures. All of this content was generated before release, then reviewed, edited and placed by the developer; nothing is generated while you play. Character models, animations, zombies and several asset packs are licensed third-party content. AI tools also assisted with programming and with drafting some written text, such as parts of the store page; the game's design and all final content were chosen and reviewed by the developer. The game does not generate any content or code during gameplay and does not connect to any AI service while you play.

Reasoning

The disclosure states AI generated a large share of shipped assets: most 3D props, furniture, building pieces, item models, icons, textures, and key art. Character models, animations, zombies, and several asset packs are licensed third-party content, and the developer reviewed and placed everything. Only one release in the past year, so volume signals don't reach high effort risk.

Against: Developer reviewed, edited, and placed all AI content; character models and animations are licensed third-party work; no live generation during play; game is unreleased with no review data.
