What the developer says

Hi, I'm the solo developer behind Trash Digging, and I want to be upfront with you about how this game was made. I'm one person, and I used AI tools to help along the way. Some of the concept art, the key art and the logo were made with AI image tools, and so were some of the icons. Some of the sound effects and the short voice lines were made with an AI audio tool (ElevenLabs), and so was the music in the trailer. I also had AI help while I was writing the game's code. Nothing went into the game straight from a generator. I looked at every picture, every sound and every line, threw away far more than I kept, and then chose, edited and finished what was left by hand. The look, the way the digging feels, the lighting, the world and the order of everything are things I built and tuned myself, a little at a time, by playing it over and over until it made me smile. No AI generates anything while you play. What you see and hear is exactly what I chose to put there. Thank you for giving a small, one-person game a chance. I hope it makes you smile too.

Reasoning

The disclosure lists AI-generated art, icons, audio, voice and trailer music, so some shipped assets are AI-made. The solo developer says every asset was reviewed, edited and finished by hand, and no AI runs during play. No volume-release pattern: zero games in the last 12 months.

Against: The developer's other games also disclose AI, but that says nothing about this title's content; the disclosure itself claims heavy human curation of all AI output.
