Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

KUR is made by a human team, and we treat generative AI as a support tool, much like the AI features now built into Photoshop, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve. Some of our art starts from AI-generated drafts, which our team then reworks, adjusts and finishes by hand. Other assets are made entirely by hand. The game's translations were produced with AI, and the English and Spanish versions are reviewed by our team. We also use AI for research and to help draft text. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.

Reasoning

The disclosure states AI drafts feed some art assets, which the team reworks by hand, and AI handles translations and text drafting. No content is generated during gameplay. The developer has one game and no rapid-release pattern, so effort risk is low.

Against: Disclosure says other assets are fully hand-made and English/Spanish translations are team-reviewed; no gameplay-time generation.
