What the developer says
Spellsanity is a solo project. AI image tools were used as a starting point for many sprites (enemies, bosses, characters, portraits); they were then reworked by hand, fitted to the game's palette and animated. Effects, UI and surfaces are hand-made or procedural. Some texts and the translations were written with AI assistance and edited by me. Music (Kevin MacLeod) and sound effects are not AI. Nothing is generated while you play.

| AI judgment deepseek-flash | Partial AI · solid production, high confidenceReasoningThe disclosure states AI images seeded many sprites and portraits, and some text and translations used AI assistance, so some in-game assets are AI-derived. Effects, UI, surfaces, music, and sound are hand-made or licensed, and nothing is generated during play. The developer has released no games in the last 12 months, so there is no volume-release signal. Against: Sprites were reportedly reworked and animated by hand, and the developer describes a solo project with substantial manual and procedural work, which points to real effort rather than mass production. |
