Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

Click or Wait is made by one person. Generative AI (Claude by Anthropic) was used as a development tool in two places: writing and reviewing program code, and translating the in-game texts into Dutch, Swedish, French and Polish. Both are listed in the game's own credits. Everything the game is comes from the developer: the idea, the design, the game systems and their balancing, the visual style, and all testing. No artwork in this game was generated by AI. The pictures in the manual are screenshots taken from the running game, and every sound and all music are not files at all but are computed from sine waves and noise while you play. The game does not use AI while you play and does not connect to any AI service.

Reasoning

The disclosure limits AI to coding help and localization, both supporting work rather than shipped creative assets. Art, audio, design, and balancing are stated as developer-made, and audio is generated procedurally rather than from AI. The developer has one game and no high-volume release pattern.

Against: Translation touches text players read, so some AI-assisted content does ship; the claim of no AI artwork is self-reported and unverified.
