Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

Art assets in this game - the fish, environments, UI icons, achievement icons and store page artwork - were created with the help of generative AI tools. Every asset was then hand-picked, edited, resized and colour-corrected before being brought into the game, and all of it was checked against a fixed art direction and a locked colour palette. Some of the code was written with AI assistance. All of it was reviewed by the developer and is covered by automated tests. The game itself never generates anything while you play, and never connects to an AI service. Everything you see ships with the build and is the same for every player.

Reasoning

The disclosure states most visible asset types (art, environments, UI, icons, store art) were AI-generated, so scope is major. The developer describes hand-picking, editing and colour-correcting assets and reviewing code, which points to real production effort rather than volume release. Only one game in 12 months and no reviews yet, so effort risk stays medium.

Against: Developer reports manual curation, locked palette and automated tests; game generates nothing live and has no AI service connection.
