What the developer says
catfight uses a language model to drive your AI teammate. It runs entirely on your own machine. Nothing you say to her leaves your PC, and she needs no account, subscription or internet connection of her own. It does two things. It turns what you say into one of a fixed list of tactical orders, and that list is the only way the model can affect the game — her dialogue can never move her, fire her weapon, or change the outcome of a match. Separately, it writes what she says back to you, so her lines are generated rather than scripted. The companion is optional. If your hardware can't run her, or you'd rather play without her, every order she takes is also on a key and nothing else changes. The game's artwork and audio are not AI-generated.
