Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

Ashram is developed by a single person, and generative AI tools are part of the production pipeline. They are used during development for: • Concept art and sketches for armour sets, weapons and creatures. • Item illustrations (the artwork you see in your inventory) and interface icons. • Base 3D meshes for equipment, generated from that concept art and then cleaned, retopologised, rigged and fitted to the body by hand, piece by piece. • Support textures and material variations. • Character and creature voices, made with synthetic voices and edited, mixed and tuned by hand. No real person's voice is cloned. • Assistance in writing code, always reviewed, tested and compiled before it is integrated. Nothing ships as it comes out of a tool. Game design, lore, balance and creative decisions are human. Ashram does not generate content with AI while you play: no dialogue, characters, text or images are created live, and nothing you type or do in the game is sent to any AI service. Reasoning

The disclosure lists AI use for several asset types, but each is described as cleaned, retopologised, rigged or mixed by hand. Design, lore and balance are stated as human, and no content is generated live. The solo developer has no volume-release pattern.

Against: AI touches many asset categories (art, meshes, textures, voice), which could push scope higher; the game is unreleased, so shipped content can't be verified.
