What the developer says
Much of the art in Glims was made with the help of generative AI. Character reference art was produced with an AI image tool and turned into 3D meshes with Meshy; every model was then cleaned up, re-rigged, animated and hand-tuned by us. The collectible card illustrations and the 2D art for the Invasion mode were generated the same way. All game code, design, UI layout and animation work is human-made, and third-party art is credited in-game under Settings > Credits. The game also has an optional chat with your glim: its replies are generated live by a language model (Qwen3-8B) that runs on your own computer, offline. Nothing you type leaves your machine. The glim is instructed to be a companion pet for all ages, refuses sexual, violent, hateful or illegal requests, answers in two sentences at most, and can be turned off in Settings.

| AI judgment deepseek-flash | Major AI · mixed signals, high confidenceReasoningThe disclosure states much of the art is AI-generated, including character reference art turned into 3D meshes and card/2D illustrations. An optional in-game chat generates replies live via a local language model. Code, design, UI and animation are declared human-made, and models were cleaned up and re-rigged by hand. Against: Developer has only two games and one release in the last 12 months, so no volume-release pattern; hand cleanup, rigging and animation suggest real production effort. |
