Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

All shipped assets are first-party, come from CC0/OFL-licensed human-made packs, or are built from royalty-free licensed human-made sound recordings (Sonniss #GameAudioGDC). Two small engine-side pieces are MIT-licensed open-source material: Godot's built-in text-field menu labels and a shader routine adapted from AMD FidelityFX FSR 1. Some 3D meshes (enemy armor fused onto CC0 base rigs, the drone, weapon models), the entire soundtrack and the processing of the sound effects are produced by deterministic, first-party procedural build scripts; those scripts were written with the help of an AI code assistant. No image-, audio- or voice-generation model produced any shipped asset. The game's written text — squad comms, item and mission descriptions, narrative screens — and this store page's English copy were drafted with AI assistance under developer direction, then reviewed and edited by the developer. The translations of the game and of this store page into eleven other languages were produced with AI assistance under developer direction. The game contains no runtime or live AI generation.

Reasoning

The disclosure states AI helped draft in-game text and store copy, plus all translations, so some shipped content is AI-assisted. Art, soundtrack, and sound processing come from human-made packs or deterministic first-party scripts, not generation models. The developer has one unreleased game, so no volume-release pattern exists.

Against: The disclosure explicitly denies any image, audio, or voice generation model producing shipped assets, and the procedural scripts are first-party, which limits AI's role.
