What the developer says

I designed Lanternfall's mechanics, towers, enemies, waves and balance myself. Every level background is a 3D scene I designed and lit in Blender over hundreds of hours, and every character, enemy and tower is rendered through my own lighting, camera and sprite-sheet setup. Generative AI was used during production for some content: - The store artwork, main menu art, concept art and some menu illustrations were made with AI image tools. - The 3D models, rigging and animation for characters, enemies, towers and props began as AI-generated models, which I then edited, lit, rendered and tuned for the game. - The music, one boss voice and some sound effects and ambience were made with AI audio tools, then selected, edited and mixed by me. Most sound effects come from licensed sound libraries. No generative AI runs in the game. Nothing is generated while you play.

Reasoning

The disclosure lists AI-generated art, 3D models, music, voice and sound effects, covering several major asset types. The developer describes substantial manual editing, lighting, rendering and balancing, so real effort is evident. Only one game exists and it is unreleased, so no volume-release pattern is shown.

Against: The developer claims hundreds of hours of hand-designed levels, lighting, mechanics and balance, and most sound effects are licensed, pointing to genuine production effort.
