What the developer says
Generative AI was used during development to create content that ships in this game. The in-game 2D visual assets and the 2D upgrade and ability icons began as generated images. They are placeholder art: the developer edited them by hand in Aseprite and reworked them in bulk with custom scripts, and intends to replace them with work commissioned from human artists. Part of the sound-effect library was generated; the remainder is procedurally synthesized by the developer's own scripts. The music cues in the soundtrack were generated, then edited and mastered by the developer. The in-game text in the ten non-English languages began as machine translation and is being corrected from player reports as they arrive. Generative AI was also used for voice-over audio in some older promotional videos. All generated outputs were reviewed, selected, edited, and integrated by the developer. Game design, progression, balance, and code direction are the developer's own work; AI coding assistants were used as development tools only. The game does not use live generative AI and does not generate content at runtime.
