What the developer says
Generative AI tools were used selectively during the development of Critical Ward, primarily to assist with programming, debugging, and refining existing audiovisual assets. ChatGPT was used to support coding and troubleshooting, while AI-assisted image and audio editing tools helped polish certain graphical assets, music, and sound effects originally created by me. For example, an original countdown sound effect was used as the basis for two additional variations by modifying its pitch with AI tools. This was an AI-assisted transformation of an existing asset rather than a sound generated entirely from scratch. Some of these AI-assisted refinements are included in the final game. However, no content is dynamically generated by AI during gameplay. The game's design, mechanics, characters, progression, and core systems were created and developed by me.

| AI judgment deepseek-flash | AI-assisted · AI scope: minor · effort risk: lowReasoningThe disclosure says AI assisted programming and polished pre-existing audiovisual assets, with some refinements shipping. No content is generated live, and design, characters, and systems are developer-made. The developer has one game, not yet released, with no volume-release pattern. Against: AI-assisted edits to shipped art and audio mean some in-game assets are not fully human-made, and the game is unreleased so effort cannot be verified from reviews. |
