Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

VoidCraft uses generative AI in two ways. During development, AI tools were used to create content that ships with the game, all reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion: - Written content: lore, item and research descriptions, mission templates and NPC flavour text. - 3D models: the buildings and ships were generated with text-to-3D tools from our own prompts, then cleaned up and optimized for the game. - Images: concept art for ships and buildings, shown in the fleet roster and in dossiers, was generated with image models from our own prompts. - Voice and sound: the narration for the in-game lore entries is AI text-to-speech read from scripts written for the game, and the battle sound effects and ambience were made with an AI sound-effects tool. - Music: the background music soundtrack is AI-generated music. - Marketing concepts were also explored with AI image tools. During gameplay, two features generate text live using large language models: the optional in-game Advisor, which analyses your empire and offers strategy advice in character, and contract mission briefings (titles, short stories and NPC names) on station contract boards. Players cannot type free-form prompts into these systems: the AI receives only structured game-state data assembled by our servers, and every output is validated server-side before it appears in the game. Core gameplay (combat, economy, progression, rewards) is governed by deterministic game rules, not by AI.

Reasoning

The disclosure lists AI generation across writing, 3D models, images, voice, sound effects and music, covering most asset types. Two gameplay features generate text live via LLMs, making AI part of play. The developer has only two games and this one is unreleased, so volume signals are limited.

Against: Core combat, economy and progression are deterministic, and all AI output is reviewed and server-validated; the studio has only two games, so no mass-release pattern.
