What the developer says
Silver Creek Town uses generative AI at runtime. (1) NPC dialogue text is generated by a language model as you play. By default this model runs locally on your PC (a bundled open-weights model); you may optionally connect your own OpenAI-compatible API, in which case your text is sent to that provider under your own account. The developer operates no dialogue server and receives no conversation data. If you connect your own API, the dialogue text is produced by that third-party model; the game's per-character rules and content filter still apply, but the developer cannot guarantee the output of a third-party model. (2) NPC speech is synthesized locally on your PC from that text by a text-to-speech model. (3) Player voice input is transcribed locally on your PC; audio is not uploaded. (4) The character songs were produced with AI music tools from lyrics written by the developer; some concept art, character images, text drafts and marketing materials were AI-assisted and reviewed before use. Runtime generation is constrained by system prompts, per-character rules and a content filter to reduce inappropriate, illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing or unsafe output. You can report problematic output through the Steam community hub.

| AI judgment deepseek-flash | AI-driven · mixed signals, high confidenceReasoningThe game generates NPC dialogue and voice at runtime, making AI central to play. AI music and AI-assisted art, images and text add to the scope. The developer wrote lyrics and added prompts, filters and per-character rules, showing real design work. Against: Runtime models run locally with developer-written rules and filters, and the studio has only one game, so there is no sign of mass-produced volume. |
