What the developer says
Kidnapped Simulator uses a custom-built conversation system powered by a local AI language model. It interprets the player's typed replies and generates dialogue for the kidnapper, Abel Marsh, during gameplay. AI-based speech synthesis provides his spoken responses. Dialogue and voice generation run entirely on the player's PC, with no internet connection or external AI services required. Player input and generated conversations are processed locally and are not transmitted to external servers. Generated dialogue is combined with authored story content, scripted events, and prepared animations. AI tools were also used during development to create and edit selected character and environment textures and other visual assets included in the game.
