What the developer says
Action & Automation is not only how the game is played - it is also how it is built. I started with an experiment: 100% AI production. I pushed automation as far as I could - and found its limit. AI could generate code and assets, but it didn’t understand game design, gameplay, or what makes a game feel right. That is where I take Action. As the game’s sole human developer, my role is gameplay director and game-feel engineer. I decide how the game should play, engineer how it feels, and shape the overall player experience through its systems, software architecture, worldbuilding, story, and balance. For the Automation, AI produced much of the code, artwork, animation, VFX, and UI under my direction and according to my specifications. It also handled text polishing and localization and generated all the content for this Steam page, including this disclosure, under my direction. Without AI, Action & Automation would not exist. AI let me complete in 15 months what might have taken me a decade to create by hand. DO NOT BUY this game if substantial AI-generated content is a dealbreaker for you. The game does not run generative AI models or connect to external AI services during gameplay. It requires no AI account, API key, subscription, or token credits. Any apparent AI thinking or reasoning is scripted or driven by conventional game AI systems. Human-designed. AI-produced. That is Action & Automation.
