Production signals

Facts about who made the game and how players received it. They don't depend on AI, and they help tell a carefully made game that used some AI apart from mass-produced ones.

What the developer says

Due to the fact that the artist we collaborated with left abruptly, and we no longer have sufficient funds to recruit new artists or purchase art resources, and we also do not have dedicated art staff internally, we have, under these circumstances, used AI to optimize and create derivative works from the character illustrations we already possess, so that they can be used in other scenarios. We hold the relevant legal rights to these original assets. In the process of using AI for creation, we will take measures such as manual review to avoid, as much as possible, AI-generated content infringing on the rights of third parties. We will also make necessary manual modifications to and screening of AI-generated content to ensure that the final art resources used meet our needs. Currently, we have used AI in the creation of related art resources for character illustrations, store promotional images, and some CG scenes in the story.

Reasoning

The disclosure states AI was used for character illustrations, promotional images, and some CG scenes, so AI-generated assets ship to players. The developer describes manual review and modification, and the game has substantial human-made systems (RPG, card battler, tactics). No evidence of mass-produced volume; only one game and not yet released.

Against: The disclosure frames AI use as a constrained fallback after an artist left, and claims manual review and modification of outputs, suggesting limited rather than core AI use.
